This is the first in a series of blog posts about the SnapAdventures trip to Tibet running Apr 28-May 7. Check out the latest entries from the Blog page.
Well, this is just a short missive on our 2.5 hour stopover in Xi’an. We originally wanted to get tickets on the 44-hour Beijing-to-Lhasa train, but instead we are counting our blessings, as the stopover has provided us an opportunity to stretch our legs and get some air.
The next leg is a 33-hour journey from Xi’an direct to Lhasa, with a few stops along the way. This will probably be the longest train journey that most of us will ever take, so we’re stocking up on snacks, food and drinks.
Everyone is in good spirits and we’re all really excited to get to Tibet!
